Transportation
From the airport
Dall’Aeroporto
Padova is easy to reach thanks to several airports set in the nearby. The nearest are Venice Marcopolo (VCE) and Venice Treviso (TSF), both served by low-cost companies (Ryanair or Wizz for instance) along the others. With daily direct flights from a wide range of cities in Europe and the UK, these airports are able to welcome more and more visitors from all over the world into Regione of Veneto every single day.
Venice Marcopolo Airport allows visitors to arrive straight into the heart of the territory, landing above the beautiful Venice lagoon just a touch away from the water. It is only 40 minutes from Padova by car. Public transport (bus) and taxi services are available, along with car rental. Let’s have a look at the following web page for the available connections to Padova:
https://www.veneziaairport.it/en/transport/padua.html
Toc can provide pre-booked private transport from the airport to the accommodations. It will be an extra cost.
Teams are suggested to make enquiries about flights, but not to book any flight until the team registration is closed and after EUF confirms each team on the bid list. This will happen around 30th January 2023.
Parking
Stadio Appiani:
For parking in the city centre we suggest Piazza Rabin, a big parking lot able to host even big buses, near Prato della Valle, Padova main square, and 200 meters from Stadio S. Appiani, location where the opening game and the finals will be held. Keep in mind that Piazza Rabin is a TOLL PARKING!
Centro sportivo euganeo:
Closest parking lot to the sports centre is in this location: a free big parking lot 700m away from the fields. You can Park cars and buses there and then walk 5 mins to get to the fields.
Also, in front of the sports centre there is another small parking lot, used by the staff of the event. Please use it only in order to drop athletes or people, then go park in the big parking lot.
Taxis
If you want to get a taxi ride, you can visit this website (TaxiPadova), call +39 049651333 (RadioTaxi, working 24 hour on 24) or download the app (appTaxi).
Shuttle Service from and to the fields
servizio navetta da e per i campi
Accommodations (please refer to the next section for details) are about 20-30 minutes from the fields. A shuttle service will be offered to all athletes and team members choosing the official accommodation exclusively; no additional pickups/drop-offs will be arranged. Details will come in future bulletins. Please note that spectators (e.g. accompanying people like parents and friends) won’t be allowed to use the shuttle service. That’s in order to ensure enough place for the athletes attending the tournament.
Public Transport
To go to Sport Centre Euganeo you can get the line E017 or E018. The bus stop closest to the sport centre is "Bresseo".
Both lines start from Padova Autostazione, which is the terminus near the city train station, then passes near the centre of the city and go to the sports centre. Anyway, once you are on the bus you can ask the driver when to get down, usually they're really welcoming.
Look at the timetables here: E017, E018
In the city centre you can get on the tram to go to the station.
Be aware that to get to sport centre you need the suburban bus ticket, you can buy it in any Tabacchi (you can find them by looking at the big blue T outside the market) or in almost any news kiosk. Buying ticket on board is more expensive that buying them in Tabacchi.
